Bendis is a master of writing strong characters and the Guardians are at their best when they are put in awkward situations befitting their awkward team. Peter Quill is facing two major commitments that are atypical for him, an engagement with Kitty Pryde and ruling the Spartax Empire. I’m not sure which has him more off his game, but Bendis writes both situations well. He is obviously comfortable with all these characters, as their voices are fantastic. Kitty is a great addition to the mix, and she makes sense with this group. Her banter with Peter is gre
