Cheaney ‘Cairngorm II’ UK9 Commando Soles RRP £480

Beautiful pair of country ‘veldtschoen’ by Joseph Cheaney. Model is ‘Cairngorm II’. Made in England. Burgundy / brown grain leather. Veltdtscheon design with a horizontal seam above the welt, renowned for its water resistance. Goodyear welted on to an Itshide commando rubber sole. Full leather lining. Bellows tongue. Absolutely top top quality shoe. This is the current model and retails at £480. No box or bags, hence bargain price. This Cheaney veldtschoen is much more faithful to the original style than the equivalent models from by Crockett & Jones or Tricker’s. Understated ‘old money’ style and they will literally last for years. Condition is excellent. Very light wear to heels inside. Uppers and soles are as-new. Size: 9G (standard width for this last / style, see the Cheaney site for details). As a country shoe, they fit slightly large to allow for thicker socks, so if you take a 9.5 they will be fine (I do and they are). Only selling as I have far too many shoes and I now have to make some hard choices…
